Plants and People (BIOL 2401)
A survey of plants and plant products that have major uses in human life. Such uses include food, fiber, medicines, religious sacraments, poisons, stimulants, inebriants, oils, perfumes, dyes, spices and beverages. Examples from Trans-Pecos Texas will be discussed, including forages, toxic plants and invasive species.
